Pickled Red Onions
This is the one condiment you WANT to have for your smash burgers, taco's or sandwiches. Easy to make and super tasty.

Ingredients
- ⅕ dL - 5 fl oz water
- ⅕ dL - 5 fl oz white distilled vinegar
- 2 tbsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp red pepper corn
- 1 chilli pepper diced
- 2 Laurel leaves
Instructions
- cut the red onion in julienne style
- place in a bowl a colander and transfer the onions in it
- pour over boiling water and let them rest for 3 minutes
- in a pot add the water and the white distilled vinegar
- add the sea salt
- add the red pepper corn
- take the pot to the stove and bring it to a boil
- drain the onions
- in a mason jar add the drained onions
- add the chilli pepper
- add the laurel leaves
- add the pickling liquid brine to the mason jar and close it immediately
- let it cooldown and then put it in the fridge for 24 hours
- ready to serve
